The Little Free Pantry
The Little Free Pantry was an idea that started in November 2018 at the Estevan Public Library to support those dealing with food insecurity. The goal of this project was to bring the community together to provide easily accessible foods and goods to local individuals in need. The Little Free Pantry is a full-circle community effort to help those who aren’t easily able to meet everyday food and personal needs. Those in need are able to approach the Little Free Pantry freely at any time of day during regular library hours, to take up to three items that they need, whether it be food or personal items, with no requirements to fill out an application or bring a photo ID. Those who want to give are just as easily able to approach the Little Free Pantry and leave up to three items.
**Always looking for generous donations.**

Quota Club International Seed Library
The Estevan Seed Library works much like a regular library, but instead of books, gardeners borrow seeds that are adapted to our prairie environment.
Members come to the library and borrow seed for their garden. They grow the plants in their garden and at the end of the season, they let a few plants ‘go to seed.’ From those plants, they collect seeds and return the same amount of seed (or more) as they borrowed at the beginning of the growing season. Seeds are free to members. Since seed is a living thing, it must be renewed each year somewhere by someone or unique varietals can become extinct. Even growing one seed and returning it to the library is a valuable contribution. This Library was made possible by the Estevan Quota Club International.
